May I have everyone's attention? As the best man, I would like to propose a toast to the newlyweds, Tom and Julia.
I met Tom in 1990 when we were roommates in college. In all the time I've been friends with Tom, I have never met anyone who has shown more respect and devotion to his friends and loved ones. And now, Tom has someone who he loves above all others: Julia. So, Julia, I know you are the luckiest girl in the world today because you have all the love Tom has to give.
However...let's not let Tom off so easy. Who wouldn't give all their love and devotion to someone as sweet and special as Julia? Julia, who spends her weekends working at a humane society and her nights sewing blankets for kids with cancer. Not loving Julia is like kicking a puppy: it's just wrong.
All joking aside, I just want to give my congratulations to you, Tom and Julia, and wish you all the happiness in the world. I can think of no one who deserves to be together more than you two, and I know you'll make each other happier than anyone else ever could.
So, to Tom and Julia! May your lives together be the fairy tale you deserve.
